HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

[July 27-Sunday] Happy 28^th Birthday Kendal! In celebration of Kendal’s birthday we went to the Del Mar Fairgrounds to watch and bet on the horse races. A whole group of us caught the train down to San Diego. We then rode a double-decker bus to the fairgrounds. Several of us had never been there before, let alone bet on horse races. It was quite funny to hear the excitement and confusion as we rushed to understand the terms and how it all worked. The races were short, but exciting. During the race everyone cheered for the horse they bet on to win. The best part was when you won, even if it was only $5. We all had a ton of fun.
